What a beautiful night under the stars! 🌟🎬
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last Saturday for our outdoor screening of "The Seeds of Vandana Shiva" – over 35 people came together for an inspiring evening of community, conversation, and incredible food.
Big thanks to Kombu Wholefoods for their generous donation of pumpkins and onions, and Hearthfire Bakery for the bread for our soup – and to all our wonderful volunteers and committee members who made it happen. From loaning and setting up the screen and sound /audio visual equipment, to making and serving soup, cakes and chai, to cleaning beforehand and packing up afterwards– we couldn't do it without you! 💚
The evening raised over $760 in gross sales, which will go directly toward keeping the garden running – things like rent, water, power, insurance, and ongoing maintenance. These everyday costs add up to around $7,000 a year, so events like this make a real difference.
