Lately I’ve been hearing this more and more…“You don’t really need a social media manager anymore. Just use AI.”
And honestly? That tells me exactly why so many businesses are exhausted, invisible, and wondering why their socials aren’t bringing in leads.
For AI to be effective, you don’t just open it and get results. You have to learn it, you have to understand prompting, you have to feed it context, direction, examples, brand voice, offers, audience details and you have to keep doing that… over and over again and to be honest that only gets you part of the way.
It's exhausting, here's why.
👩💻AI doesn’t know your audience.
👩💻It doesn’t know why one reel landed and another flopped.
👩💻It doesn’t know which message sparked DMs and which one got scrolled past.
👩💻It doesn’t know your history, your data, or your patterns unless you analyse them first.
It's a wonderful tool that generates content, but it will never replace me because I care too much about connection, creativity and strategy.
