Before Christmas 2024, I was loaned a Tamron Australia 11-20 Di III-A RXD lens from Blonde Robot to use on my RP and it does produce some very good photos. I am also impressed with the ability to get up really close to items (like flowers) and still have everything in focus. Anyway I do know this is a RF-S lens and on my RP it does crop the image down so it is a smaller image. I put the word out to my friends to see if I could test this lens on an RF-S camera. A fellow Camera Club member has a R7 and said I could use it and I took her up on the offer. As I only wanted to run a couple of quick tests, I asked to meet in from of the Benalla Art Gallery. I used the lens on my RP and took a couple of photos at 11 and then at 20 mm from 2 different places that also had differing light conditions. I then used the R7 and took the photos at the same locations at the same focal lengths to see what would be difference. Anyway the 4 images below are from the two different cameras as well as two different locations. It did prove though that on an RF-S camera the actual image is captured at larger size so if you want to 'blow' up the image on a large canvas without any further changes, then I suggest you use the lens on an RF-S (mind you , I do upscale the images from my RP so I suppose it doesn't make too much difference).
Now the images from the R7 did seem a tad sharper but with some editing software, again, this wouldn't be too much of a hassle so again not really a reason to use RF or RF-S camera.
Anyway, here are the images I took with the 1 lens on to different cameras.
