A magnificent event/series that bridges the gap for many juniors.

The Joyride Rookie Cup is Australia's first ever fully dedicated youth downhill series. By providing a true pathway into state and national level competition as well as providing a lower barrier of entry to new racers, the 'Rookie Cup' is designed to capture the ever-growing, new wave of up and coming downhill talent and give them the foundation to take on the sport of downhill headfirst!

An interactive Livetiming board so parents can see their children’s splits times as they race down the mountain, mechanics on board via Bairnsdale Bikes for upkeep and any mishaps to keep the juniors going, canteen and food options galore and the “LIVE” ever changing podium kept the excitement in the pits right until the very finish to determine the age group winners.

For many newbies to the sport heading out on a bike or to a track can be daunting.
