From 5pm today local residents will be allowed back into Harcourt.
Entry for both north & south bound traffic will be via the Harcourt Exit off the Calder Freeway and at the roundabout take Victoria Road and approach the traffic management point.

Proof of ID will need to be provided to police.

Tap water is not safe to drink in Harcourt.

Boiling the tap water will not make it safe.
What you should do:

Do not drink tap water.
You should only drink bottled water.
If you are unsure if the water is safe to drink, you should not drink it.

It is unsafe to use tap water for:
Food preparation, cleaning food or preparing baby formula.

Cleaning dishes or clothing.

Making ice, brushing teeth and preparing beverages.
Maintaining personal hygiene:
It is important to stay clean.
Use hand sanitiser after going to the bathroom and before you consume food.
Use disposable baby wipe products that are not soap based without water to clean yourself.
