โ€™Twas the Night Before Christmas (Cornish Rex Edition)

โ€™Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house,
Not a creature was still โ€” not even the mouse.
For Cornish Rex kittens, all curly and bare,
Were bouncing and zooming through absolutely everywhere.

The cat trees were climbed and then launched from with flair,
While tails flicked like whips through the warm summer air.
With rippling soft coats and long legs on display,
They sprinted, then skidded, then napped โ€” for a day (or a minute).

Stockings were swatted, tinsel was chased,
A bauble was stolen and proudly displaced.
โ€œWho needs wrapping?โ€ the kittens all said,
As they curled up together in one tiny bed.

Their humans looked on with a smile and a sigh,
As one curled-up Rex purred a sweet lullaby.
For though theyโ€™re mischievous, clever, and bold,
Their hearts are pure gold โ€” worth more than theyโ€™re sold.

Soon eyelids grew heavy, the zoomies did fade,
Little pink noses tucked gently and laid.
Curly coats pressed close, all warm, safe, and sound,
Dreaming of treats and the laps they had found.

So hereโ€™s to our Rexes, both big and both small,
The clingiest, quirkiest Christmas gift of them all.
From our home full of curls to your family tree,
Merry Christmas from ScillyRex โ€” with love and a purr or three. ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿพ
