Something our girl Miss L lives with was a result of alcholol while in the womb.
FETAL ALCOHOL SPECTRUM DISORDER (FASD) not commonly heard of but really needs to be understood.
Drinking any alcholol while pregnant can have lifelong impact on your babies development until adulthood.
A brain-based injury like FASD comes with challenges in areas including memory, following instructions and remembering how to do a task that seems to us like it should be familiar and easy to repeat.
FASD has similar symptoms to ADHD and Autism so can be easily misdiagnosied unfortunately so you need to find a paediatrician that knows what to look for.
FASD is a form of brain damage which impairs children all through their life not just when they are chidren.
Some children have physical signs others do not they are all different.
Miss L does not have the usual physical signs so was harder to pick
up on.
FASD is like having a double whammy of Autism and ADHD for Miss L simple directions can be hard, simple tasks can be difficult. My advice is get yourself educated open your mind and learn even if this doesn't effect you personally because pretty certain there will be a child out there near you that could use you support and understanding.

Well we have been in our home for a week......still so much to unpack and organise some furniture won't fit so will be rehomed 😄 which goes for the caravan that is too big to get in the back gate.
My Enagic Kangen filter unfortunately hasn't got a home in the kitchen because we can not get tap fittings to suit so it has taken up residence on the bathroom bench because that tap fits perfect, which will be convenient for getting 6pH water for cleaning the mirror and watering my plants 🪴 in the bathroom 11pH which is a degreaser for cleaning the dirty ring around the bath. and shower.
While baby sitting I have been boiling 7pH water which is clean filtered water for baby bottles because this town water is not great.

Such an amazing experience singing with these ladies winning 1st place in the Gladstone Estiedford on Sunday unfortunately 2 ladies were not able to attend with us.
It is important to do things that make you happy....singing makes me happy plus I get to hang out with these wonderful ladies each week having fun.
On the home front we have started packing waiting for pest control and cleaning to be done then the removalists are coming on 31st then it is all systems go with moving into our new home.

Sang with Bilo Local Vocals today at Wowan Show.
I have always loved singing but never thought I would be singing in a choir.
Last week we sang at our friend's wedding, this week a show, next weekend is a Eisteddfod in Gladstone then the 4th weekend si going at our local Nursing House in Biloela

I saw this post and thought the first line just wasn't correct....I was meant to be a Boss Babe just in my time.
I am all of the below !!
I have multile businesses because I feel what I partner with is important to our lives and I want to share with others also.
Working my businesses online is more convenient for me because we have such a busy life and we love it that way.
I can spend time working on my businesses early in the morning when the house is quiet and schedule my posts to appear online when people are active online not having to stress about being present when people are online and hoping they will see my posts.

Happy first day of August ......
Wow aren't the days going fast we must be having fun 😂
They say time flies when your having fun.
Well our days are certainly full, while we wait for settlement day for our very own home we are looking after 2 beautiful children while their parents are working. A beautiful newborn baby girl 6 weeks old and a handsome little man under 2yo.
We don't know what we did with our time before we started looking after these little cherubs.
Our mornings start at 5am with cuddles and smiles then a bottle and back to sleep for the little ones.Clean Water which is filtered to remove Chlorine and other impurities in the tap water.
Enjoy your time with your loved ones and make the most of the time you have.

All my life I have avoided getting my picture taken always worried what people would say.
My children do not have many pictures of me with them or of me just by myself and now I regret that because they do not have much history of me to share with their children.
So my advice to you is get infront of the camera get those pictures taken because one day it will be important.
People have no idea what is going on in your life so they really should not judge.
The first picture is me on my 50th birthday my little girl took it, she was 5 years old and ti her I looked beautiful 😍 but all I was thinking was oh my God I'm in my nightie, my hair isn't done the angle is wrong and I was recovering from ankle surgery number 10 which left me in a wheelchair for nearly 12 months.
4 years on I am able to walk around unadded but not painfree and 100% but I am mobile. My health is not perfect but I do the best I can when I can.
There is always someone with their opinion and advice and that's fine I am a good listener but it doesn't mean I have to follow your advice because everyone is different. I know what is best for me.
Just part of this is drinking Kangen Water 💧

Well here we are doing something I hadn't seen coming.....buying a house in Biloela 🤭 after looking at houses in Gladstone the beautiful and the downright ugly and comparing the prices we put in a offer on a house we liked in Biloela and after a few back and forth our offer was accepted.
I will be honest I didn't want to buy a house here because I don't think it has good enough health services for our family but in life we must compromise.
We have had a busy week since retuning home from a South Australian road trip it feels like we have been home for weeks but it has been a very informative week and all the things we want are falling into place.
Saturday night we had a phone call from a family that homeschool travelling the world, they are from Australia but are living in Vietnam currently well they organise cruises and trips to other countries for homeschool families so we have booked to go on 2 cruises in February 2027. The first is a 4 night cruise from Brisbane to Airlie Beach return to Brisbane we get off the ship for a couple of hours then get back on for our second a 7 night South Pacific Cruise to Mystery Island, Vanuatu New Caledonia return to Brisbane on the same ship.
I have never been on a cruise before so this will be very exciting.
We cant decide on a motorhome or Tow vehicle/caravan so we will just settle into our new home first then decide.
We did put a deposit on a new motorhome but it wont be ready until end of February/March and we want to travel before then.
So we have a lot going on in our life and very thankful good things are falling into place.
