We’re proud to be part of the launch for the very first Day Safari at the iconic KX Club rooftop in Kings Cross — a brand new open-air Sunday gathering for dreamers, dancers, and music lovers who move to deep, groovy sounds.

After years of restrictions that reshaped Sydney’s nightlife, the lifting of the final lockout laws in January 2026 marks a fresh chapter for the city’s creative culture.

Choosing Kings Cross is no accident. Once the true heartbeat of Sydney nightlife, it represents both the challenges and resilience of our scene. Day Safari honours that legacy while pushing things forward — bringing people together through music, connection, and rooftop energy.

Bondi Radio is proud to be a key part of this new venture. Hodgie will be DJing on the day, while the Bondi Radio team will be on-site capturing all the action — video, audio, and photos — to share with our community and beyond.

This is more than just an event — it’s part of Sydney’s cultural revival. Open, inclusive, and driven by music, art, and connection.

Meet the heartbeat behind the Bondi Radio dial, DJ Hodgie (Keith Hodgson). From the streets of Edinburgh, Scotland to shaping Sydney’s house and broadcast culture, Hodgie has been mixing it up for over 30 years across clubs and radio alike.

He kicked off his journey in his native Edinburgh, cutting his teeth in local stations like Central FM and Radio Forth, building a reputation for versatility, from on‑air presenting to production and technical operations.

Now as Owner & Managing Director of Bondi Radio, Hodgie isn’t just behind the mic, he’s in the studio guiding our sound, mentoring talent, and making sure the station stays rooted in real house culture while pushing forward.

His influence doesn’t stop at the studio door. He’s loved in Sydney’s scene, popping up at events like Night Safari and Coogee Pavilion to light up the decks and keep crowds moving.

From underground beginnings to steering one of Sydney’s most talked‑about radio platforms, Hodgie lives and breathes house, and the community feels it every time he spins the first beat. 🎧🌊
