Political correctness gone mad! We now can't read what authors wrote, we have to read what we think they should have written. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but we can't shape the future by reshaping the past. Yes, authors wrote what we now consider to be racist, misogynistic, imperialist and so on. We can acknowledge that without destroying their intellectual property. Here's what Whoopi Goldberg thinks about that:

Who says print books are a thing of the past? "The Australian print book market grew 7.2% last year to $1.3 billion, up from $1.26 billion in 2021, according to Nielsen BookScan. The total number of unit sales for 2022 was 70.9 million, an 8.2% year-on-year increase."
