Lorelle Yee joins as Director of Marketing for the iconic Woolworths Carols In The Domain.

In a career spanning 25 years, Lorelle is a senior leader in marketing and communications, having worked in a diverse range of industries spanning media and entertainment, retail, property and hospitality.

"I'm really excited to work with the team at activeTV and all the partners who help make Woolworths Carols in the Domain such an incredible event for family, friends and the community" Lorelle said before adding "this 40th Anniversary year, in particular, feels so important to bring everyone together and celebrate, united by the spirit of Christmas".

Her major stints have included Chief Executive Women, Screen Producers Australia, Australian Association of National Advertisers, World Wrestling Entertainment, Foxtel Group, UKTV and more recently, at NIDA as Director Partnerships and Engagement.

The appointment follows on from the announcement that Lisa Fitzpatrick has joined the team in the key Co-Executive Producer role along with James Avery as Event Manager and Christopher Horsey as Director of Choreography.

Michael McKay will EP for a 34th year.

Acclaimed choreographer Christopher Horsey steps up as Director of Choreography for the 40th Anniversary Edition.

Recently, Chris was the choreographer and casting associate for the ABC series "Wakefield" and will create, direct and choreograph the upcoming national tour of Lucy Durack's RomConcert.

Chris will oversee all the big production numbers as well as helping solo artists to use the large stage area to maximum effect and work closely with producers Michael McKay, Lisa Fitzpatrick and musical director Graeme Press to create a big, 'outdoor event' presence.

"That's one of the great challenges of 'Carols' because you're in this massive park, you've got a huge stage, thousands of people, much more like a stadium show than a theatre or studio" he said, obviously relishing the task for 2022.

In something of a homecoming, former Seven Network production exec, Lisa Fitzpatrick, is returning to The Domain to take up the role of Co-Executive Producer for the 40th Anniversary Edition of Woolworths Carols in the Domain.

Lisa has previously served as the Network Production Executive on behalf of host broadcaster Channel 7 for five years and now steps into the Co-EP for producers activeTV.

The role was vacated by industry veteran Shauna Kane, who had served as producer and Co-Ep for a remarkable 20 years.

“We thank Shauna so much for her extraordinary contribution to ‘Carols’ over two decades and wish her nothing but the very best” activeTV President and Executive Producer Michael McKay said, before adding “and I also want to welcome back Lisa Fitzpatrick who has returned to The Domain to oversee our biggest celebration yet”.

“I’m delighted to be working with activeTV again and ‘Carols’ was always a highlight each year and one of my favourite productions, so to be here for the 40th Anniversary is really very special” said Lisa.

She was previously with Seven for some 17 years and commissions under her watch (as Head of Program Development) included Beauty and the Geek, World’s Strictest Parents, Four Weddings, Minute To Win It, Australia’s Amazing Race and The X Factor. Lisa and her team were also instrumental in Seven’s culinary juggernaut My Kitchen Rules.

As Executive Producer Entertainment, Lisa served on Better Homes & Gardens, Dancing With The Stars, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and, of course, Carols in the Domain.

There's no question Woolworths Carols In The Domain is a rare Premium Event, that continues to deliver, even during hard lockdowns.

These past two years have been challenging to say the least, but we've actually found ways to expand audiences, build up our digital presence and deliver for our loyal fans and wonderful supporters.

We've had to:
Communicate well (and often) with our stakeholders;
Develop new online strategies (that deliver expanded reach for our corporate supporters);
Create an even stronger sense of belonging

activeTV was established in 1988 and has built a reputation in live event television, reality series production, high level sports production and event management in both entertainment and sports.
