π¨ A LITTLE BIRD HAS TOLD MEβ¦ π¨ Thereβs an update coming for us Aussie Princess cruisers travelling internationally! π¦πΊπ’
A little bird has told me about a change coming to Princess Plus and Princess Premier. Although I haven't received the official communication from Princess directly just yet, I thought I'd give you all a heads-up so you're aware of what appears to be coming.
From 13 October, Australians purchasing Princess Plus or Princess Premier for an international Princess cruise operating in USD will have Crew Appreciation (gratuities) included in the package. π
The new pre-cruise pricing will be:
β¨ Princess Plus β A$89 per person, per day
β¨ Princess Premier β A$139 per person, per day
For comparison, Crew Appreciation on international USD cruises is currently charged separately at:
π° US$18 pp/day β Interior, Oceanview & Balcony
π° US$19 pp/day β Mini-Suite, Cabana & Reserve Collection
π° US$20 pp/day β Suites
π¦πΊ What about cruises from Australia?
For Australian homeport cruises operating in AUD, nothing changes.
Crew Appreciation is already included in the cruise fare and the package pricing remains:
β¨ Princess Plus β A$79 pp/day
β¨ Princess Premier β A$129 pp/day
β οΈ Important: The new international package pricing and inclusion of Crew Appreciation applies to packages purchased from 13 October 2026 onwards.
For those of you who cruise internationally with Princess, this is certainly something to be aware of when you're looking at the cost of Plus or Premier from 13 October.
And, as always, the way you choose to manage gratuities when cruising internationally is a personal decision. Some cruisers prefer to have them included, while others prefer to tip individual crew members directly.
Now I'm curious to hear what you think! π
Will having Crew Appreciation included change the way you look at Princess Plus or Premier for an international cruise?
And if you've previously purchased one of these packages, will this change your decision next time?
