⚡ Seizures & Autism: What You Should Know 💙

Seizures are a common co-occurring condition in autism, and many children with autism have abnormal brain activity even without diagnosed epilepsy. Your child could be having seizures without you knowing it.

🔹 Key Facts:
✔️ Up to 60% of children with autism have abnormal EEG results, compared to 6%-7% in neurotypical children.
✔️ 12% of children with autism have seizures, increasing to 26% by adolescence.
✔️ Children with autism and intellectual disability have a 50% risk of developing a seizure disorder, compared to 21.4% in those with intellectual disability alone, with higher risk in females.
✔️ Children with autism should be evaluated for the presence of seizures with a 24-hour EEG.

Proud is an understatement of what this boy and his sisters have achieved at And gone on to mainstream school to do the nap plan . Now he’s being rejected from the high school with his peers because we’re out of catchment 🤦‍♀️Seriously? I’ve tried to get everyone to understand how hard transitions and changes are hard for people on the spectrum . He’s done his orientation and his peers are going on to the high school . A place he knows he knows the people . Why make it harder for him ? High school is a harsh ride I’d like to forget . This is detrimental to his education . School starts tomorrow Help please 🙏 🥹♥️

Destiny was non verbal and has type one diabetes. She’s in mainstream school now . The future is bright if children can be included in mainstream school and have early intervention. These children are proof early intervention works and the fact Scotty from marketing has destroyed it is devastating to autism families . Please help me fix it 🙏🥺♥️

I just wanna feel real love from the governments and world we live in 🥺😥You can’t understand unless you have lived experience . I sit and talk to god and the government just laughs at my plans . Not sure I understand this role i have been given It’s never going to get easier is it ?

Some people feel like home or a connection you can’t explain 🥺♥️♥️

I don’t know who this lady is but if you know her tell her she’s awesome. Isaiah walked up to this lady at our last home game two weeks ago. He sat on her lap and they were talking like they knew each other. It lasted no more than 20 mins. However, she left right after halftime to meet up with her little girl.
Fast forward to tonight…not long after we sat down at the game Isaiah spotted her. She waved at him and he made his way up to her. I thought their interaction would be the same as last time but I was wrong. Isaiah walked right up to her smiling, crawled in her lap and laid his head down on her shoulder. She welcomed him with open arms. This lady patted and rocked Isaiah to sleep like she had given birth to him. It was the sweetest!!
We asked her if she wanted us to get him but she kept telling us she (and he) was fine!! Isaiah and this lady has NEVER met before other than those 20 mins at a game 2 weeks ago. I told her tonight that I am so sorry and I don’t know why he keeps bothering her. She replied he’s no bother and to not say that again. She said he was her new friend. She then went on to say she only has one child who is 15 and moments like this are priceless!!!
With all of the racial tension that’s going on I’m glad to see the pictures like these because it goes to show color don’t matter to a lot of people. It really don’t!! Arguing over stuff as such makes us miss the simple pleasures in life. I hate I didn’t get her name but I will next game because I’m sure Isaiah will make his way back to her. I love her and don’t know her!
Update: We found out who she is. Her name is Mrs. Angela. She’s such a sweet lady y’all! It’s awesome how God connects people together for whatever reason!!
