How is your brand showing proof and demonstrating trust?
At the risk of sounding like a broken record - proof and trust are two of the biggest factors that determine how your brand shows up in Google AND in AI-Search tools like Chat GPT, AI Mode, Perplexity etc.
Yes, you still need a landing page for each of your key services. And a handful of high-value articles and resources related to each key service. But you also need some case studies, testimonials and social proof for each key service as well.
And that social proof needs to be consistent. A handful of case studies you produced 5 years ago, and some dusty Google Reviews aren't going to cut it.

Search has evolved.
People donโt really trust the top results in Google anymore - they trust proof. They trust case studies, verified reviews, and real people sharing their real experiences.
AI search tools are leaning into this too - they pull data from reputation signals, forums, and feedback loops to determine whoโs credible. That means your brandโs trustworthiness now matters more than your keyword list.
Modern SEO = Experience + Expertise + Authenticity + Trust (E-E-A-T).
If youโve built a business people believe in, your content should make that belief visible. Write more case studies, share more testimonials, and create content that is anchored in solutions and impact.

We recently had a client ask us why ChatGPT didn't seem to be picking up their 1,000+ positive Google Reviews when they ran tests.
While all AI tools seem to preference user-generated content and social proof like reviews when making brand or business recommendations - the places that they source their data from vary.
Chat GPT and Open AI have a known relationship with Microsoft - who own Bing.
Recent research found that when ChatGPT uses live web search to answer queries, roughly 87% of it's citations align with Bing's top organic results. That strongly suggest that if you want your business to have visibility in ChatGPT's results and recommendations, you're going to need to be visible in Bing's index too.
So you're going hard on Google Reviews, it might be time to switch your focus to your Bing Places listing for awhile. Drive some of your reviews to your Bing profile instead of your Google profile and see what happens...

For months, marketers in the US have been grappling with a new layer of Google Search called AI Mode - a conversational, AI-driven experience that changes what people see (and click) when they search.
And itโs finally arrived in Australia.
Letโs clear something up first: AI Mode and AI Overviews are NOT the same thing.
You're probably already familiar with AI Overviews - when you Google something, and one of the top results is a summary answer to your query that has been generated by AI.
AI Mode on the other hand is a more complex chat-style search experience that has been built into Google - you can get personalised answers, ask follow-up questions, and interact with Google the same way you do with other AI tools like Chat GPT. All without the need to ever leave the results page.
Most of the world has had access to AI Mode for several months already, and the early data from the US is mixed. For content creators and business owners, the trend is clear: Traffic is dropping for research-based and top-of-funnel content as users are getting the answers they need within Googleโs feed itself. Click-through rates to websites are shrinking as AI summarises, cites, and condenses information on the spot.
This shift will fundamentally change how we search, how information is displayed, and how people discover brands online.
