Development is set to expand in Melbourne’s north, while communities in Warrnambool and Ballarat are being invited to provide feedback on draft plans that could deliver more than 10,000 homes and create over 1,500 local jobs. 👷‍♀️👷

Transport links will be a key feature of the development, with upgrades to Mickleham Road already cutting congestion and further works now underway. Bus services will also be expanded, with Route 543 to be extended to Greenvale North from next month. The Greenvale North (Part 2) Precinct Structure Plan forms part of the Allan Labor Government’s 10-year greenfields strategy, which will see the planning and delivery of 180,000 new homes over the next decade. Boronia Apartments is expected to house 74 households by late 2025.
