🤯▶️ ICYMI: Griffith Film School alumni have officially ‘cracked’ 1 billion views on their YouTube channel!

With a creative team lead by Connor McDuff and featuring fellow alums Elias de Weger and Chris Slater, CrackerMilk have carved out a niche blending edgy humour with punchy short-form delivery. With 1.4 million subscribers on YouTube and millions of views also across TikTok and Instagram, their original content provides satirical and often surreal takes on popular culture and trends.

Said the team, “Can you believe we’re Griffith Film School’s first billionaires? Neither can we. Doing what we love for so many people is an incredible feeling. Our shared passion for filmmaking and getting a laugh is what’s driven us from the beginning. But more importantly, we’re Griffith Film School’s first billionaires.”

🎬🚌 "How's the serenity?"

That's what our Winton Outback Academy students are thinking, having reached the 150-year-old outback township ahead of The Vision Splendid Outback Film Festival.

This hands-on learning environment leaves the classroom 1300km behind and immerses students in the natural beauty of uniquely Australian locations.

Our study tour gives film and animation students a unique opportunity to combine their skillsets and craft hybrid films profiling the place and personalities of Winton. These films are premiered at the festival, which is a major drawcard for locals and tourists alike.

Special thanks to Greyhound Australia for sponsoring our journey in comfort!

Last week, our students had the pleasure of meeting French filmmaker and director Valérie Müller, who visited Brisbane to screen her inspiring documentary La Force de l’Âge (The Prime of Life).

The documentary follows the story of 300 individuals aged 65 and over who audition for the once-in-a-lifetime chance to perform onstage at the prestigious Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris.

Following on from the QPAC screening as part of their ‘Ballet Preljocaj – Swan Lake’ season, Valérie discussed her collaboration with choreographer Angelin Preljocaj across narrative and documentary films. Valérie also shared her experiences and advice for capturing the intimate and honest moments of her documentary subjects that make for such fascinating viewing.

Many thanks to our partners at Alliance Française de Brisbane and the French Embassy for coordinating this masterclass with Valérie, which was well-attended by students across both our undergraduate and Master of Cinematic Arts programs.
