From faded colour to a rich, luxurious transformation! 🍷❤️‍🔥

Sometimes, all your hair needs is the right colour, the right shape, and a little magic. ✨

This gorgeous lady came in with faded colour, ready to bring richness, shine and vibrancy back to her beautiful hair.

So I refreshed her colour with a stunning Dark Intense Violet Red Brown a deep, luxurious shade with beautiful violet-red reflections. 🍇

✂️ Long layers to create shape, softness and movement while preserving her beautiful length.

✨ Finished with a glamorous, bouncy blow-dry to showcase the colour, layers and flowing movement.

And the result? Rich colour. Beautiful dimension. Gorgeous movement. Pure elegance. 😍👑

Because a beautiful transformation isn't always about changing everything sometimes it's about bringing your hair back to life.

Would you try this stunning violet-red brown? ❤️

Sometimes the biggest transformation is all in the haircut. ✂️✨

this beautiful young lady came in with long hair and was ready for a real change.

We took the length shorter, added long layers and soft face-framing, then finished everything with my signature luxury blow-dry to bring out the movement, bounce and shape.

And look at that smile at the end. 😍
Fresh, lighter, full of movement and absolutely stunning on her.

Would you make the chop? ✂️🤍

✂️ Your hair didn’t “lose length it SHRANK back to its natural pattern.

One of the biggest textured-hair misunderstandings is thinking the hair has somehow become “shorter.”

It hasn’t.

Shrinkage isn’t lost length.
It’s what happens when wavy, curly or coily hair contracts back toward its natural pattern after being wet or stretched.

That means:

Wet length ≠ dry visual length

And the effect can vary depending on your texture, curl pattern, density, growth direction, condition and even which area of the head you’re looking at.

That’s why shrinkage matters when planning:

Length
Layers
Fringe
Overall shape

So before your next haircut, don’t just show the style you want.

Tell your stylist how you normally wear your hair — natural, diffused, stretched, blow-dried or heat-styled — and ask:

“Where is this length likely to sit when my hair returns to its usual dry pattern?”

Understanding shrinkage helps you plan for the result you actually want. 👑

✂️ Same overall length. Completely different SHAPE — here’s why.

Two haircuts can finish at almost the same overall length — and still look completely different.

The difference is often how the haircut is constructed.

A blunt cut can preserve more visual weight through the ends, creating a stronger, more defined perimeter.

A layered cut introduces different lengths throughout the hair, which can redistribute weight and create more visible movement, separation and shape.

But here’s the part people often misunderstand:

Blunt doesn’t automatically mean flat.
Layers don’t automatically mean more volume — or less hair.

The final result also depends on:

Placement • Length • Texture • Density • Styling • Overall construction

And you don’t always have to choose one or the other.

A stylist can preserve a stronger perimeter while strategically adding layers for movement.

So instead of asking:

“Should I get blunt or layered hair?”

Try:

“I want to keep fullness through my ends, but I’d also like more movement. How can we balance both?” 👑✂️

The technique isn’t the goal.
The finished shape is.

✂️ Not all layers are meant to be SEEN.

You can ask two people for “layers” and end up with two completely different-looking haircuts.

Why?

Because where the layers sit, how much length difference is created, and how the weight is distributed can completely change what you see.

Internal layering can help adjust weight, movement and shape while keeping the outer silhouette more connected.

More visible layering can make separation, movement and layer transitions a stronger part of the finished look.

And they don’t have to be one or the other — both approaches can exist in the same haircut.

So instead of simply saying:

“I want layers.”

Tell your stylist the effect you actually want:

“I want movement, but I want the layering to feel subtle.”

or

“I want the layers to be visibly part of the haircut, with noticeable movement and separation.”

Describe the result.
Let your stylist choose the technique. 👑✂️

The best transformations aren’t always about going shorter sometimes it’s about making the hair you already have come alive. 🤎✨

this beautiful lady wanted to keep her length, but give her hair more shape, movement and personality.

So we worked with what she already had adding soft long layers, carefully placed face-framing and a beautiful dark copper-brown tone to bring warmth and richness to the overall look.

The finish? Soft, textured waves that let the layers move naturally and show off that face frame. ✂️

✂️ Layers and graduation are NOT the same thing — and the difference changes the entire haircut.0

You can look at two similar bobs and wonder why one feels lighter and more fluid, while the other feels stronger and more structured.

The answer may be in the construction.

LAYERS can create movement, separation and redistribute weight.

GRADUATION can build structure, controlled fullness and weight through the shape.

But neither technique creates one guaranteed result.

Placement • Length • Weight • Texture • Density • Styling all influence what you actually see.

And here’s the part many clients don’t realize:

A haircut can use layers, graduation — or BOTH.

So instead of telling your stylist:

“I need graduation, not layers.”

Try:

“I want this area to feel structured and full, while keeping movement here. How would you create that?”

Describe the result you want.
Let the technique support it. 👑✂️

✂️ Your hair isn’t misbehaving it may be following its growth pattern.

That section that always lifts.
The fringe that wants to split.
The crown that separates.
The part that keeps moving back.

Sometimes the problem isn’t your haircut it’s simply how your hair naturally grows.

Cowlicks, crown whorls, hairline direction and nape growth patterns can influence how your hair falls, parts, lifts and moves.

And here’s the important part:

A cowlick does not automatically mean you can’t have bangs.
A crown whorl does not automatically need to be cut shorter.
And both sides of your hair do not have to behave identically.

Your stylist can decide whether to:

Work with it • Redirect it • Or incorporate it into the haircut

Before a major fringe or short haircut, ask:

“Can you show me my natural growth patterns and explain how they may affect this haircut?”

Your growth pattern isn’t a flaw.
It’s information your stylist can use. 👑✂️
