🐢 DAY 6 – PORT VILA ADVENTURES 🐢

After an incredible cultural experience with our awesome tour guide Roger, our next stop was one the kids had been looking forward to the most... swimming with turtles!

Watching Zac and Zali's faces light up as they got to swim alongside and feed these beautiful creatures was priceless.

Experiences like this are what travelling is all about – creating memories that will stay with them forever.

There was a little bit of excitement when the kids spotted a small water snake in the water (which definitely gave them a scare! 😂), and although it was a little windy, it didn't take away from the experience at all. In fact, it made for another great story to tell.

Moments like these remind us why we chose a different path. More experiences. More adventures. More time together as a family.

DAY 6 – MORE THAN JUST A HOLIDAY 🌴❤️

Today we arrived in Port Vila, and what an incredible experience it turned out to be.

We were picked up by the awesome Roger, our tour guide for the day, and after a quick coffee and pastry stop for breakfast, we headed off to learn about the local village way of life.

What we experienced wasn't something you can learn from a textbook.

We learned how villagers prepare and survive during cyclones, the foods they preserve, the plants they use for medicinal purposes, and how generations of knowledge have been passed down to help their communities thrive.

One of the most fascinating demonstrations was learning how spider webs can be used in fishing techniques—something we had never seen before!

The villagers then shared more of their culture with us, including a firewalking demonstration and a performance using traditional musical instruments. The talent, history, and pride they have in preserving their culture was incredible to witness.

Days like today remind us that travel isn't just about seeing new places—it's about learning from people whose lives, traditions, and perspectives can teach us so much.

DAY 5 – MAKING THE MOST OF EVERY ADVENTURE 🌴🚢

Cruise life teaches you one thing very quickly... sometimes plans change!

We were meant to visit Mystery Island, but Mother Nature had other ideas. The swells were too big for a safe stop, so instead we found ourselves spending the day at Santo Island.

And honestly? It turned out to be an incredible day.

The locals were so welcoming, and one of the highlights was watching Zac and Zali share some of their cruise ducks with the local children. If you're a cruiser, you'll know all about the famous hide-and-seek duck game that happens onboard. Seeing the smiles on the kids' faces reminded us that the simplest moments often create the biggest memories.

Back onboard, the weather turned and the rain arrived, but that didn't slow us down. The kids made the most of the indoor pool and water slides, while we continued doing what we love most—making memories together.

That's one of the biggest lessons we've learned over the years. Life doesn't always go exactly to plan, but when you have the freedom to embrace the unexpected, every detour becomes part of the adventure.

From an unexpected stop in Santo to an afternoon of water slides and pool time, Day 5 was another reminder that some of the best memories come from the moments you never planned.

And we're still absolutely loving cruise life! ❤️

✨ DAY 4 – A LITTLE BIT OF MAGIC ✨

Today was all about making memories and enjoying the magic of cruise life.

We were entertained by Adam Dean's magic show, and one of the highlights of the day was the Build-A-Bear workshop. Zali chose a rabbit this time, and seeing the excitement on the kids' faces never gets old.

One of the things we love most about cruising is that everyone gets to enjoy their own adventures. The kids were excited to have dinner at Kids Club, which meant we got to enjoy a rare dinner for two. ❤️

We're still loving life at sea, exploring everything this incredible ship has to offer and slowing down enough to appreciate these little moments together.

There has been a change of plans, and instead of visiting Mystery Island, we'll now be heading to Santo. We've never been there before, so we're excited to experience somewhere completely new and see what adventures await.

This is exactly why we do what we do. More memories. More experiences. More time together.

And tomorrow... a brand-new destination awaits. 🌴✈️

DAY 3 AT SEA 🚢

Cruise life isn't always sunshine and calm seas... and that's okay!

Day 3 aboard Carnival Adventure was all about making the most of every moment. More swimming, more exploring, a bit of bingo, and continuing to discover just how huge this ship really is. Compared to previous ships we've sailed on, there's so much more to see and do.

The weather, however, has had other plans. It's been incredibly windy with some pretty big swells, and unfortunately Mystery Island has been cancelled.

But here's the thing...

You can't control the weather.

You can't control every curveball life throws your way.

What you can control is how you respond.

We're not upset. We're on holiday. We get to spend quality time together, enjoy the ship, make memories with the kids, and simply move on to the next adventure.

That's one of the things we love most about this lifestyle. Whether we're travelling Australia in the caravan, cruising the South Pacific, or relaxing at home, it's all about making the most of the moment you're in.

Because sometimes the destination changes, but the memories are still just as good. ❤️

DAY 2 AT SEA 🌊🚢

Today was all about getting our sea legs and exploring everything the ship has to offer!

We checked out the restaurants, wandered through different areas of the ship, and of course, the kids couldn't wait to find the basketball court. 🏀

One thing we weren't quite prepared for was just how chilly it would be sailing out of Sydney! 🥶 While we're still rugged up in jumpers, the kids braved the indoor pool for a swim. Let's just say they didn't stay in for too long—the water was still freezing!

That's the beauty of cruising though. The journey is just as exciting as the destination. Every day brings something new to discover, and we're counting down the days until we reach the beautiful South Pacific islands and swap jumpers for swimmers. ☀️🏝️

For now, we're making the most of ship life, family time, and watching the ocean stretch endlessly to the horizon.

🚢 DAY 1 – EMBARKATION DAY! 🌊✨

There’s just something special about sailaway day... and honestly, we never get tired of it.

As the ship slowly pulls away from Sydney, the views are nothing short of spectacular. Seeing the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the iconic Opera House from the water is one of those moments that never loses its magic, no matter how many times you've seen it.

The excitement of what's ahead, the sea breeze, the holiday vibes, and the feeling of leaving the everyday behind for a while... it's hard to beat.

Today marks the beginning of our South Pacific adventure aboard Carnival Adventure, and we couldn't think of a better way to kick it off than watching one of the most beautiful harbours in the world disappear into the distance.

Moments like these remind us exactly why we chose a lifestyle that gives us the freedom to create memories, experience new places, and spend more time together as a family.

The adventure has officially begun! 🌴☀️🚢

POSSIBILITIES ARE ONLY LIMITED BY THE CHANCES YOU'RE WILLING TO TAKE.

A few years ago, we made a decision that most people couldn't understand.

We said yes to something outside our comfort zone.

At the time, we didn't know exactly where it would lead. We just knew we wanted more time, more freedom, and more experiences with our family.

Fast forward to today...

We've travelled Australia full-time for four years, created memories most families only dream about, bought our current home in Queensland, continue to travel regularly when we choose, and most importantly, we've never had to ask permission to be present for our kids.

The truth is, there are billions of people online every day. The opportunities available today are bigger than they've ever been. Yet most people stay stuck because they're waiting for certainty.

But certainty rarely comes first.

The growth, confidence, and results come after you decide to take the first step.

Was it scary? Absolutely.

Were there challenges? Plenty.

But every challenge taught us something. Every setback helped us grow. And every step forward brought us closer to the life we wanted to create.

Today, we wake up knowing we have choices. We can work from wherever we are, create income online, and build a lifestyle centred around family, freedom, and experiences rather than being tied to a schedule someone else created.

If you've been watching from the sidelines, wondering if there's something more available for you, maybe this is your reminder:

The life you want isn't built by staying where you are.

It's built by being willing to take a chance on yourself.
