Mental illness is frequently stigmatized in our society, it’s important to remember that mental illnesses are just as real and impactful as physical illnesses like cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.

Getting back up is important!

My dad used to have these large 200 liter steel drums at the back of our yard. I don’t know what he used it for but my siblings and I played with it. We would climb onto it and roll it forward and backwards. Later we got so good at this that we started to do some tricks on them. We would play last man standing and even race each other on them. We really enjoyed doing this. Sometimes we would fall off because we got too adventurous or going too fast. But we always got back up immediately and tried to do it again. Better and with more flair each time. I remember we had to hold the hand of my little sister at first. But later she got so good at it that she participated as eagerly as the rest of us in the races.

Life is like this. We try new things. Sometimes we take a new direction. Work together to achieve a goal. Work against each other to be the best or to get what we want. Sometimes we must hold the hand of another person so that they also can achieve their goals. Sometimes we fall. Getting hurt. But the most important thing is to get up. Try again. Never give up. Moving forward.

Do you want to live healthier? Do you want to have more cash? You you know how much you spend in a year on your smoking habit? Do you remember why you started smoking? Do you want to quit smoking? What is your reason to quit?

A coach is someone who watch the athlete or the performer what they're doing and then perhaps alter their performance by making small changes to their technique. People are never good at seeing themselves as others see them. That is where the coach comes in. So a coach helps you see your blind spots and helps you improve.

Not long ago I attended an enrichment course of a fellow Hypnotherapist who shared a profound story.

Each one of us has an alter ego and sometimes even up to 130 alter ego's (a secondary or alternative personality). This may come as a shock to you, but let me explain.

Pretend you are standing in front of a class. The faces looking back at you are all your alter ego's. There may be the shy child among them, or the smart child, the adventurous child, the self-confident child, or even the melancholic, average, reserved, self-centered or the role-model child.

Have you decided what your primary personality is? Are you happy with your choice? Do you want to strengthen one of you alter ego's for example the confident child able to do anything?

If you want me to guide you, step-by-step, through this process, read on. Give yourself permission to be confident and secure. Find something that you are not familiar in or comfortable with doing for example making a video of yourself and post it on social media. You can even share it with me. Take special care of the three B's - your Body Language, your Breathing but most importantly Believe in yourself.

Have you ever heard of the saying – The sky is not the limit – The mind is!

Have you ever wished you could reprogram your mind. Well, good news, there is!!

I decided to do this video to tell you how easy it is to achieve exactly that. It can be done with an easy 5 step evening routine.

When we go to bed to sleep, the conscious mind switches off but the subconscious mind stays awake, 24/7 365 days a year. The subconscious mind is responsible for 95 to 99% of everything that you do every single day. Almost every choice you make every day is made by not your conscious mind but by your subconscious programming. It is also 100 times more powerful than the conscious mind and is also a lot more difficult to change as it is a HABIT mind. Many people focus on training their conscious mind but many people forget to equally train their subconscious mind.

With these 5 secrets and repetition you can set yourself up for success every single night by programming your subconscious mind
-Plan the next day. Plan your tomorrow before you go to bed. What time you will get up and what are the most important tasks that you need to do. If you need a great morning routine, it actually starts the night before. If you want to win the day, you have to win the morning, but to win the morning, you first have to win the evening.

-Review your goals every single night. Remember that the subconscious mind work with repetition. If you want to reprogram your mind for success you have to do it over and over again. Remember when you learnt how to drive – You learned it with repetition. The same goes for your goals and dreams. You can not set a goal, read it once and expect it to happen. You need to set your mind up for success by constantly reviewing your goals whether you write them down in your journal or see them on a board or simply reading them out. While you sleep, your subconscious will actually help you achieve your goals.

-Practice gratitude. The importance of showing gratitude before going to bed does not need to be a lengthy process. It can simply be a text or an email to a friend or family member showing your gratitude or going on your knees saying thank you for your health, wealth and well-being or to your spouse or anyone else that you live with. By practicing gratitude you’re programming your mind to think in abundance and not scarcity. You will program your mind to think about the opportunities and to be grateful for everything that you have. By practicing gratitude on a daily basis especially at night before going to bed you are setting yourself up for success.

-Ask your subconscious mind for the answers. Never go to sleep without a request to the subconscious mind. As you sleep your subconscious mind stays wide awake. So instead of going to bed worrying and thinking about a problem you struggle with or how your life is not going how you planned it, instead think about what you need to do for your life to change. Is it to make more money? Is it to start that business? Is it to go after your passion project? Whatever it is, think about it and ask your subconscious mind by speaking out loud how you can figure out this problem. Think about the last time you went to bed with a question and woke up in the middle of the night with an answer. Or as soon as you woke up and while being in the shower, the idea came to you. This is evidence of your subconscious mind working 24/7. So next time you go to bed, ask your subconscious mind a question and then drift off. Don’t try to figure out the answer. Again your subconscious is a 100 times more powerful than you conscious mind. As you drift off, it will get to work. If it does not work the first night, try it again. Keep doing it through repetition and eventually the answer will find you.

-Hypnotherapy. The subconscious mind operates out of programs and if you want to change the programs, you have to speak in the language of the subconscious mind and that is done through Hypnotherapy. By taking your brainwaves down to a childlike super learning state of Theta brainwaves you are actually changing the tapes that run the programs of your subconscious mind.

There are so many misconceptions about hypnosis.

People often ask me if I will make them do weird things or something against their will during hypnosis. “Will you make me bark like a dog” they ask.

Let me set the record straight. Not only am I bound by a strict code of ethics that prescribe that I should treat my clients with the utmost respect, but making a person bark like a dog under hypnosis is not possible. Here are a few reasons why:

•Hypnosis is not sleep – It is an altered state of consciousness, relaxation, and inner focus
•You will not be under my control – You will never do something that is against your will or against your morals. As a Hypnotherapist, I cannot make you behave in an undesired manner or do weird things
•Hypnosis is not dangerous – Hypnosis is a safe and effective way to help you relax, take back control, unlock your potential and live a happier and a healthier life
•You will not be helpless during hypnosis – Instead, it is a natural extension of everyday awareness
•I can not be hypnotised – All people can enter an altered state of consciousness – Hypnosis will help you to focus and narrow your attention. All people have experienced self hypnosis. [Have you ever read a book and don’t hear someone calling your name – That is self hypnosis]
•Hypnosis will not work on me – Hypnosis is beneficial to all people who engage in it. However, hypnosis does not work instantly – Instead depending on the issue being addressed, regular sessions are desirable
