The first installment of The Flower Hour for 2026 is out now on , and and it's CHOCK-FULL of good s**t.

From big uns like , .brum, , (feat. and ) and even to up and comers like , & South Wales' .

There's an appearance from our family in the form of , a folky/electronic piece from enigmatic Russian songstress and a beautiful new collab with from 's (who's on tour in the UK now! Go see him!)

Speaking of live dates, there's a new remix of one of ' tunes. As you can hear here, Funny Weather has been completely reinvented by and is now a certified banger. Flo plays at tomorrow - Sat Jan 3rd 2026. It's a fundraiser for Start Track and it's pay what you like. You should come!

Elsewhere there's a bit of a beast from (hold on to your butts), another stunning new tune in the ongoing "series" from 's as well as writer Lester O'Shea (), a 2016 classic from , the new one from the spunky duo A VOID (), some punk from Indonesia in the form of .clas and an absolute anthem from .goodwealth.

Julian Wa's new EP drops TODAY, exclusively available (for now) on .

After the cloudy lullabies and mystery of 2022’s Low Wave, this EP is a more nostalgic release, stepping away from the obscure and eclectic and instead delivering a bold, melodic burst of indie-garage rock.

The bulk of the EP was recorded during a single live studio session in Brisbane, with the intention of capturing the in-the-moment feel of Wa's new band setup. A handful of sonic additions were then sprinkled on top, resulting in a raw, yet considered collection of songs that showcases the energy of the band and their love for ear candy.

It's a double drop !

First up, we have our new December edition of and .

Headed up by the man, the myth, the legend, Mr. this month gets off to a blinding start. Dave is followed by hip-hop sensation and a recent solo tune from of .

This month also sees some rockier stuff from Halifax lads , UK indie stalwarts , the wonderfully bluesy and Manchester trio .

The excellent@fikarecordings make a couple of contributions with an oldie from and a newbie by and the ever dependable are represented by new tunes from both and .mantis.

We've got a couple of appearances by musicians in the form of 's and former frontman Jordan Allen flying solo as .

There's some softer bits from the omnipresent and , some dreampoppy/shoegazey stuff from .g.shand and .waters and last but by no means least the amazing with their new track Collision Course which you can hear in this video.

It's a ginormous month.

The first in a series of occasional label-focussed editions of & is dedicated to the Scottish indie label

It contains all manner of tones and textures - from jaunty, world-music-infused indie (courtesy of , heard here) to an epic, almost ragga-like tune from .

Our friend also makes a very welcome appearance (we saw her live not too long ago with label mates and - who are both also featured here and who are all fantastic) as does one of the labels biggest success stories, the enchanting .

Speaking of success, the inimitable, undeniable, is also included here, alongside the extraordinarily adventurous, sprawling sound of (their tune White On White is one of our favourite things we've heard all year) and some more hypnotic world-music vibes from .

We've also got the newest track from , the appropriately-titled Halloween, a gorgeous work of art from (featuring the rather splendid ) and a bit of a rocker from .

There is also some stunning folk music courtesy of Scottish Album Of The Year Award nominee .eliott as well as Irish folk hero .

The label is run by Johnny Flynn who also releases music under the name . Leading by example, his work is ambitious and artistic to the nth degree and as the figurehead of Lost Map he is also responsible for the spearheading the Weird Wave collaboration project which rounds out our selection this month.

We really hope you enjoy this month's assortment and we are super excited about potentially introducing you to this abundance of talent.

This month's edition of is the first in a new series of occasional label-focussed installments.

There are so many fantastic labels out there (not only us! 😜) and, in the spirit of giving those who deserve them their flowers, we're shining some light on the little Scottish label .

Based on the tiny Isle Of Eigg and led by the wonderfully eccentric Johnny Lynch () Lost Map are brave, bold and beautiful.
