Couldn’t think of a more perfect way to celebrate Petes birthday today with a beautiful lunch at our favourite restaurant in all of Australia Vitners Bar And Grill in the Barossa. Thank you Peter Clarke for looking after us 👌Exceptional food and wine pairings. Service impeccable. So good to get in some fine dining again … it’s been a while 🥂🍾

Marking a moment with gouache and ink - slowing down to truly see.

This piece was painted by Tan in 📍Palm Valley, a rare oasis in Finke Gorge National Park where red cabbage palms grow against the odds.

Accessed via a high-clearance 4x4 track, you can stay overnight - setting up base camp at the nearby NP campground.

Now gifted to our generous hosts at in Alice Springs - a small thank you for a warm welcome. 🌴🎨

📍Redbank Gorge in West MacDonnell Ranges (NT)

This was hands-down our favourite walk of the trip. Tucked away at the base of Mt Sonder, Redbank Gorge often flies under the radar … probably because it’s a bit harder to get to and not as well-known.
But trust us, it’s absolutely worth it.

🥾It’s quiet, and ridiculously beautiful. Don’t miss it.

🔸 Located ~156 km west of Alice Springs
🔸 Access via Larapinta & Namatjira Drives — last 5 km is unsealed
🔸 ~2 km return walk | 1–1.5 hours | Grade 3 (moderate)
🔸 Track starts easy but turns sandy and rocky — sturdy shoes essential
🔸 Finish at a gorgeous waterhole tucked between towering gorge walls
🔸 Campgrounds nearby if you want to stay the night under the stars. We stayed at 2mile camp on the Finke River.

We loved how peaceful and remote this spot felt …it’s one of those places you don’t forget.
