We didn’t really know at the time of recording “Can Host, Can’t leave the house” quite how much COVID-19 would change the world and that isolation was as real as it was and still is!

Can Host - Can’t Leave the House

GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT

Tyson Goodard/Evangeline Yen

The ridiculously talented, creative mind and workaholic, Tyson makes up 1/3 of The Thicc Shake Crew who have been showing Brisbane exactly what they’ve got in the last year! From putting on “Voyage to the Galax-She” at last year’s Sci-Fi festival, to performing on the Main Stage at Big Gay Day 2 years in a row. Each member of the Thicc Shake Crew have their own side projects always supporting eachother and come together as a team to create new shows for their adoring audiences!

Evangeline was contacted the day before Big Gay Day and was asked to join Melanie C and “Sink the Pink” on the main stage as the iconic Mel B aka Sporty Spice! It was a proud moment for Brisbane and all of her friends and family (I can’t lie, I got choked up seeing my friend share the stage with such a legend).

Until earlier this week, Thicc Shake, myself and a cast of some of Brisbane’s hottest performers were creating and rehearsing “Galax-She 2, a journey through Herstory”….until the announcement came that so many of us are getting at the moment! The show has been postponed until later this year due to the coronavirus (sad face).

Whilst us creatives/artists/entertainers understand the reason behind the cancelations and impending isolations, to many of us it’s a huge loss of income!

Tyson came to chat about that, his BGD experience and what he plans to do if locked up for 2 weeks!
