Foreman has arrived to deliver you an earful of ripe and ready tracks which have been picked from his seasonal tune garden. These selections represent his current taste very well as a lover of the deeper and dirtier side of minimal house music. This mix will be sure to scrunch up your nose but still provide the ambience to keep your body moving.

With fresh releases on international labels such as Material Series and Brea, Foreman is showing no signs of slowing down on the production front. It has been a pleasure to share dancefloors with this Brisbane local over the past few years and we are sure to see him pop up again shortly.

For part two of my AKA podcast, Iā€™ve shown the other side of the Cyberphonk Jr coin - displaying sounds of a dank nature. Euphonically techy, itā€™s a mix thatā€™s drenched with isoteric and cerebral qualities beckoning the listener to confront all internal emotions. As a self described ā€œHoly Minimalistā€ the sparseness yet propulsive funk in each track allows me personally to connect the divine with the therapeutic nature of twirling on the dancefloor. Hope it does for the punters too.

As always, we asked the host to put together some words for us:

This set explores sounds I've been passionate about over the past 4 or so years. After witnessing Traumer play at Shipwrecked Festival in New Zealand in 2020, I was inspired and thrown down a rabbit hole of digging deep minimalistic grooves. I can thank Shipwrecked for a lot of my musical inspiration as a DJ & also it has set the bar for dance music culture & event production to me.

This was recorded after heading to Byron Bay to see Traumer perform again a few weeks back at S.A.S.H with one of my good friends Calmy on opening duties. It was epic to connect with a bunch of minimal fizzers down there & I felt super inspired afterwards! So here is the outcome.

AKA is delighted to have Razah on the podcast, enjoy the two hour mix via our Soundcloud and see below for some words from the man himself:

Creating this mix was a bit of a challenge and also very fun, never played any of these tracks, so they are pretty fresh. The mix goes from 122bpm to 128bpm so I think it works well for a 2-hour mix, keeping the groove going with minimal deep tech. Hope you all enjoy.

My next gig is coming up on 29th of June at Catalog Records hosted by Camp Paprika, Hidden Kolective & Analog Affair (Vinyl Only).

We asked Liam about the mix and what's in the pipeline for him and his production:

Iā€™ve chosen a bunch of tracks from some of my favourite artists. As well as a few unreleased cuts from myself, two of which are releasing on the amazing Psicodelica Label very soon.

Iā€™ve been having so much fun producing as of late and hopefully this mix can show everyone the sounds I am trying to achieve.

I'm glad I could also share a bit of my feelings with this set. This sort of minimal house is what I have felt I developed over time choosing tracks where the kick might not be the strongest or most important element but the bassline and percussions give the mix diversity & groove which can create an amazing atmosphere.

First podcast takeover for the year of 2024 is from Gold Coast based DJ/Producer, Auntie Brenda (Brendan Holt).

Auntie Brenda is well known for playing and creating music that will make heads turn on dancefloors and with that being said, is why he's at where he is today playing at parties hosted by Camp Paprika, Hidden Kolective & SASH... just to name a few.

The mix he has provided is nothing short of spectacular, with dreamy minimal tunes that have wiggy vocals to big dancefloor stompers that will have your hands stuck in the air.
