An airport lounge experience - without points or membership! ✈️

I've never travelled enough to have access to fancy lounges, but recently got the chance to check one out at Brisbane International Airport! 😍 It's called Escape Lounge, and if you book online it's only $55 for 3 hours of unlimited food, drink, comfy lounge space, wifi, and charging hubs. With a late 11pm flight I wasn't sure what to expect, but when we walked in, we got given our own little table, and the food was being replenished regularly.

We had the dinner menu which included chilli con carne, Moroccan vege tagine, macaroni alfredo, minestrone soup with bread rolls, grilled vege penne, salads, sandwiches, cheeses, fruits, and baked goods. The food itself was nothing to write home about but definitely kept me (And Nixon 🤭) busy for awhile! And admittedly I ate about 10 bread rolls and 20 butters. 😂

Make sure you book online as walk in rates are $80pp (and could be booked out) Overall a nice relaxing pre-flight experience with friendly service and comfort.

Hello Harry has now graced Park Ridge (Which is technically in the City of Logan, not Brisbane sozz) and is already a huge hit with the locals! Serving up big juicy burgers on soft buns, perfectly paired sides, and an amazing thickshake menu 👏 (Biscoff lovers you will FROTH over the Biscoff thickshake! 🤤🤤)

GIANT KOREAN STYLE KATSU 😱

The famous have branched out with their new menu, where you can choose from Sets Ga, Na, Da, or Ra (It's the Korean alphabet 🤭)

Featuring Pork Katsu and your choice of K-Udon, Tteokbokki, Cream or Rose pasta, or Cold Soba. Price ranges from $39-$47. These meals are HUGE and (surely) made to be shared between two! Or 1 fattie ^ who's eyes are bigger than her stomach 😬

I really enjoyed the rose pasta, the pork katsu was not bad but I prefer Katsu Co's o.g Japanese style as the meat was thicker. The pickles, rice and potato salad on the side was a nice touch!

I've been loving lately, particularly the char siu pork that sits in their display window shining and dripping with glaze. 😍 The yumcha is also pretty good too and worth checking out!

Thai Street Food at 9am?! Yes pleaseeee.

Not going to lie, I haven't been able to keep up with all the new food spots in Brisbane since having a child so I have no ides when this little spot popped up ... but I couldn't say no when I walked by the other week! Open from 9am weekdays, there's a range of ready made Thai dishes sitting in the hot box so it's super quick. Really yummy authentic flavours, decently priced, and a shelf full of sauces too. Love it!
