Back in 1973, when 4BK was one of the most listened to radio stations is Brisbane, the 'Reaching Out, Touching You' slogan and advertising campaign was in the newspapers, on everything from bumper stickers to billboards and in the theatres.

Back in the 70's, 4BK's team of Road Riders on their colourful and nimble Yamaha motorcycles kept listeners up to date with traffic reports and breaking news which could affect Brisbane's roads.

Col Joy taught me more about performance and people skills than I could ever have imagined. A gentleman with a wicked sense of humour. A true legend with grace. May he rest in eternal peace. My condolences to all of the family. M xx
