Back around 1979-1982 when 4BK was Brisbane's most listened to radio station, it was the Wayne Roberts Breakfast Show which evokes such good memories of belly laughs at the breakfast table or behind the wheel on the way to work.

But behind the scenes, the fun and craziness was non-stop. Take for example, our poor production manager, trying to get a clean take down on tape when a major client came in to voice his own ads.......

I saw for the first time today, an AI service which for a monthly fee, will make up posts for pages to save the page owner from having to create them or even think about it. All in the interests of clicks and ad revenue.

With the insidious creep of AI into our daily lives in my mind and a deep personal desire to avoid it at all costs, I want to tell you that 4BK Radio Memories will never be one of those pages. My pledge to you all. Thank you. Enjoy your weekend.
Oh, by the way, Retro Stream is on fire with an all 60's music weekend you might want to catch. Find it on most music streaming platforms.

Hot music gossip, straight from the guy who knew them all on a first name basis, Ray McGregor. His evening radio show was required listening in the 70's and 80's. Sure do miss having him around.
Clipping from Luke at Qld Radio Memories, thanks ๐Ÿ‘.

From time to time, 4BK Breakfast hosted guest presenters when Wayne Roberts took some time off.

One of the most popular teams to carry on the crazy, upbeat and unpredictable brekkie slot was the much loved Brisbane show band Wickety Wak.
