I had nothing. No written process. No checklist. Just an expectation I'd kept entirely inside my head.
Your team isn't lazy. They're not careless. They're working with what they were given.
If what they were given is "figure it out" — they will. Their way.
Define the standard. Make it visible. Let them own it.
