Two games every weekend. All winter long.
Now that's worthy of our monthly umpire award!
This winter, Andrew has stepped up to umpire two games every weekend, taking on games at Surfers and heading out on Sundays to officiate in the SQWBL.
But it's not just about the number of games—it's the way Andrew approaches every one.
As a club umpire coordinator, he has earned the respect of players through his accuracy, consistency and calm game management.
He knows the rules, knows how to manage a game and, importantly, commands respect from players on both sides of the diamond.
Umpires don't always get the spotlight, but without them, there simply isn't a game.
Andrew is one of those volunteers who keeps turning up, keeps putting in the work and helps make sure our players can do what they love.
Two games a weekend. Week after week. That's commitment. 👏
