🤘PAUL LATTA - 250 GAMES🤘

Congratulations to Paul Latta who became the fourth umpire to reach 250 games in the modern ABL last weekend in Adelaide.

The Lismore native is one of a handful of umpires who played in the ABL and last year was named the League's Umpire of the Year.

The QSport awards are happening this Thursday night!

Two of our own are represented in the nominations for the Sports Administrator and Sports Officials categories for the 2025 QSport awards. These nominees were recognised at our Hall of Fame and Awards Dinner and have made exemplary contributions to the sport. Tickets are still available, so organise a table and show your support for our fellow baseball volunteers. 🏅

Before the ABL kicks off tonight, we’d like to recognise the efforts of Tom West, Ben Nash and David Brodie who umpired a very smoothly run U23 World Cup Qualifiers last week between Australia and Guam. They were ably supervised by Trent Thomas.

Although our regional senior competitions don't have a specific lightning rule, electricity doesn't discriminate based off age - so we highly recommend umpires use this same basis for deeming further play to be unsafe.
