Two years ago, I was a completely different version of myself.
My body was carrying my second baby, and I’d spent the previous decade building a career around creating content from home, sharing my life online and working for myself. I’m incredibly grateful for that chapter, but somewhere along the way, my work, income and identity had become so tied to how much of my life I was willing to put online.
Then life changed.
I became a mum of two, stepped into a career outside of myself for the first time in almost a decade, started working full-time, and started caring about my health in a completely different way.
I started running. I started putting myself first.
And slowly, I started building a life that felt bigger than what I could create on a screen.
Running is the easiest thing to see in this video, but it’s really just a little snapshot of everything that has changed.
My confidence. My career. My health. My independence. The way I look after myself. The way I see myself.
I’m still a mum. Still exhausted. Still juggling work, kids, daycare, dinners, laundry and all the chaos that comes with it.
But I feel like me again.
Actually, I think I feel like a version of me I hadn’t met yet 🥹
It’s taken two years to get here. There was no overnight transformation or perfect routine. Just a lot of tiny decisions to start choosing myself again.
And if you’re somewhere in pregnancy, breastfeeding, newborn life, toddler chaos, or just feeling like you’ve lost yourself a little bit… you haven’t gone anywhere.
Sometimes it just takes a little while to find your way back.
And sometimes, you don’t go back at all.
You become someone new 🤍
