This is what marriage actually looks like behind the highlight reel.
Fifteen years married, nineteen years together, and we still don't do matching outfits.
We're not the couple holding hands for the photo and not speaking on the drive home.
Our foundation was never butterflies and rainbows. It's hard work, dedication, and choosing each other, even on the days a pillow over the head has crossed our minds. 😂
We call it how we see it. We disagree, properly, out loud. Then we make the decision together anyway, even when it's uncomfortable.
That's not a flaw in the relationship. That's the relationship.
Nineteen years in, still best friends first.

Yesterday Vinny and I realised something. We're coming up to 15 years married in November.

Fifteen years.

I don't know how that's even possible.

Some days it feels like we just met on that dance floor last week. Other days I look at our boys and realise an entire childhood has happened in the meantime.

Life moves fast when you're not watching the clock.

We've done some genuinely amazing things together in that time. We've also had life throw some proper curveballs at us.

Somehow we keep dodging them, left, right and centre.

Not because we're lucky. Because we're a team, and we made a decision a long time ago that we'd stay one.

We hear those doubts every single day in this space.

What if I fail. What if I can't make it work. What if it doesn't work out.

Nobody ever asks the other question.

What if it does work out?

What if you actually can make it work?

What if you become so successful you finally step outside the box you've spent your whole life being shaped to fit?

What if there's a version of life beyond the workplace... beyond the roster, the leave form, the boss who decides when you're allowed to watch your own kid's assembly?
