TAPE/OFF SUPPORT BBK!
Iconic Sydney outfit Bluebottle Kiss (Official) recently reissued their beautiful fourth album 'Revenge Is Slow' (2002), and whilst in Brisbane on the national tour will be playing alongside the one-and-only Tape/Off! This not-to-be-missed meeting of indie rock minds take place at Black Bear Lodge on Saturday 30 May (with the pair joined by rising locals strayfold), see you at the bar!

ANZAC MIRACLE!
Last year it seemed that we might have farewelled Brisbane garage-rock legends Velociraptor for the last time, but all of that crying and gnashing of teeth has proved premature as they're returning this Saturday to honour our fallen soldiers! The 'Raptors return for this ANZAC Day extravaganza ar The Prince Consort, rocking out alongside the mighty Screamfeeder and local supergroup extraordinaire Total Pace - it's totally free and the bands start from 5pm! I ain't afraid of no ghost!

MICK THOMAS SOLO!
It's been a while between drinks since we saw the great Mickthomasliterally in solo mode, but he's just kicked off the 'GoSoloComeBack 2026' tour so that oversight is about to be rectified! He's covering the width and breadth of Oz, but in these parts you can catch him play two shows at The Junk Bar on Sun 7 June (tickets still available to the arvo matinee), as well as Gympie the night before! Get some MT into ya!

Congrats to Mickthomasliterally' Roving Commission for hitting #4 on the AIR albums chart with their stunning new album 'GoComeBack', in pretty good company amongst Barnesy, PK and the Amyl crew! It also reached #2 on the AIR 100% Indie chart, massive effort!

‘RAPTORS SYDNEY FAREWELL!
Tomorrow night (Fri 21 Nov) Brisbane garage stalwarts Velociraptor are playing their final ever Sydney show at Mary's Underground - alongside a frankly killer line-up of the amazing Straight Arrows, Dr. Spaceman and our old mates Olivia's World - will this be the first of a Farnsy-esque succession of “farewell tours” or their actual teary goodbye to the city they love like a fairly close cousin? They say the fun is in the journey not the destination, but in this case the destination is Mary’s Underground tomorrow night and there will be fun! Lots of fun!

ROVING COMMISSION DO SEQ!
A few short weeks ago Mickthomasliterally and his band the Roving Commission released their gorgeous album ‘GoComeBack’ into the world, and now it’s time for the national album tour to roll through SEQ! You can catch them on Friday night at Kings Beach Tavern on the Sunny Coast, on Saturday on the Goldy at The Wallaby Hotel and on Sunday night here in Brissie at Lefty's Music Hall, all shows with the excellent Hana & Jessie-Lee’s Bad Habits! Last Friday was release day for the gorgeous new album 'GoComeBack' by Mick Thomas' Roving Commission, and the new issue of the ever-wonderful Rhythms Magazine features a cover story with Mickthomasliterally himself (with astute interview assistance from Brooke Taylor)!
