‼️PRE-ORDER ANNOUNCEMENT‼️
Part of the joy of running this label is the community that connects around it. I hadn’t known Yemo before hearing his music and after that first listen, a lot became clear about him! He’s open, caring, moves with intention and can write some really beautiful music! It’s a pleasure to welcome him and his fabulous ensemble to the MNM crew - here’s some of his writings from the liner notes:
“This album started off as an attempt to capture and distil some of the core memories I’ve had in life. However, during the process of it I came to the realization that it was the universality within these shining moments that made them so priceless for me. They’re the same core experience shared by people of different time and culture, although taking different forms and narratives, therefore eternal. I hope whoever chooses to listen to this album will be able to feel that the voice of their inner child is heard, and deeply valued.”

Bringing their perfect blend of virtuosic ensemble interplay and playful sense of humour is THE HANDSOMEST MEN IN THE WORLD ( ), having released their album via MNM. Toby Wren has been a stalwart fixture of the Meanjin music scene since as long as I’ve been a part of it/can remember! I was first introduced to Toby through his Carnatic Jazz Experiment project and he’s stood as a curious composer/performer in my mind ever since. Which is partly why it’s such a joy to see his latest album “Songs for Dead Sailors” make its way out to the world via MNM—a privilege to help!

HOME by is officially live in the world!
Feels strange to be dropping albums with the impending cyclone but yet here we are!

Kellee and her stellar band - Sam Vincent feat. - have made a record that feels like a warm hug, a cool summer breeze and a stirring conversation all in equal parts. The album is authentically a Kellee green body of work in that the music has come straight from the heart and into your ears. A pleasure to hear this group together and hear how they pour new wine into old bottles, old wine into new and keep things an honest expression of self.
Kellee has and always will be an incredible person with a deep love for many things and it's a real pleasure to share in HER DEBUT ALBUM - launch at March 22nd!
