Tonight Kate and Graham Bennett held a party to celebrate Mudjira's 10th birthday 🎊🎂. What a celebration it was!
Several things stood out to me: the way a great cafe has become a community hub, and the integral part it plays in Mudgeeraba's everyday life, and the special way Kate mentors her staff, enabling them to reach their potential. It's a delight to be welcomed into this cafe every time we dine here and that's a work of art in itself.
Congratulations to the whole team at Mudjira. This post is for you - a celebration of your work. You should all be proud of your great cafe and the part you play in making it so.

In need of a quick tasty and affordable lunch? Thai Secret has a whole lunch menu of specials between $16.99 and $18.99 including Tom Yum with rice, Chilli Basil Beef and Red Curry Chicken. Situated just off Elysium Road beside a 7-Eleven servo, this is a terrific place to enjoy hot food at an even hotter price at lunchtime.
Sure, you can order it delivered but dining in and parking cash is far better value. That's our big tip!

Wanting a new flavour to lead into spring? Why not try one of Starbucks' new uber-trendy ube beverages!
Ube is a purple yam native to the Philippines with a nutty flavour and a gorgeous violet hue.
Following the popularity of matcha, Starbucks is further leaning into Asian flavours with the introduction of three ube-based drinks: Crunchy Ube Macchiato, Crunchy Ube Iced Macchiato, and Crunchy Ube Frappuccino (pictured).

Valyn Thai is the perfect place for a celebration. Celebrating a family birthday this week, we dined on some of our favourite dishes - crab dumplings in red curry, massaman beef cheeks, massaman lamb shank, BBQ Wagyu beef and more. Sticky eggplant is also a dish worth seeking out. In fact, we have so many favourite dishes here that it's difficult to choose what to eat. With attentive service and chandeliers overhead, we love dining at Valyn Thai.

Suffering from FOMO a few years ago, we visited Black Star Pastry's Sydney CBD store to try their Strawberry Watermelon 🍉 Cake (pictured). Between layers of light fluffy cake and cream, the watermelon 🍉 provided a moist crunch that was a texture sensation. It was utterly memorable.
In this new collaboration, launching on Valentine's Day Friday 14 February and running until March 14, the bespoke cake creations The Love Bomb and The Ghost will be launched as part of the collab's 'Eat Your Heart Out' menu. You will be first to try them if you secure a Valentine's Day booking. What an awesome experience! Be sure to book!
