3ZZZ 3ZZZ is Australia's largest multilingual community radio station, broadcasting in over 60 languages.

Radio 3ZZZ is the largest ethnic community station in Australia. Located at 92.3 on the FM radio band, 3ZZZ started broadcasting on a regular basis in June 1989. Working from studios in the Melbourne suburb of Brunswick, the station is heard across the Melbourne metropolitan region, as far as Geelong to the west and Macedon to the north. Broadcasting 24 hours a day, it is estimated that more than

400,000 people listen to 3ZZZ every week. Since October 2000, the station can also be heard across all Australia and the rest of the world through internet broadcasting.

3ZZZ is a community-based radio station, primarily financed by listener subscriptions and donations, through sponsorship, and through special fundraising events including the annual Radiothon. Radio 3ZZZ also receives government funding through the Community Broadcasting Foundation. There are more than 5,000 financial members from nearly 63 ethnic groups affiliated with the station. All the major ethnic communities living in Melbourne are represented. Up to 400 volunteers broadcast in one of these 70 community languages for and on behalf of their own community.

Congratulations to 3ZZZ volunteer Liz Honey 🎉

Liz has been named a Finalist for The Jane Brownrigg Award for Outstanding Volunteer Contribution in the 2026 Community Broadcasting Awards.

Since joining 3ZZZ in 2008, Liz Honey has become one of the station's most respected and influential volunteers. While she is Convenor of the Filipino Program, her contribution extends far beyond broadcasting and representing her community.

As a member of Station Council, leader of the Events Committee and mentor to fellow volunteers, Liz brings people together, builds capable teams and helps create a welcoming, collaborative culture. Drawing on her professional expertise, Liz has led major station events, secured valuable sponsorship, encouraged volunteer participation and strengthened 3ZZZ's relationship with the wider community.

We celebrate Liz for her continued leadership, significant contributions and commitment to 3ZZZ. Congratulations again on this well-deserved recognition!

Women’s Health Week is Australia’s largest event dedicated to the health and wellbeing of all women. It raises awareness of health issues that affect women across their lives and seeks to address long-standing gaps in information, research and care. Each year it allows women the space to start important conversations, reduce stigma and empower women to take action for their health.

Professor Vera Ignjatović AM, OLY, PhD, EMBA, GAICD is an Australian medical researcher specialising in paediatric thrombosis and haemostasis in proteomics. She works with John Hopkins University, Murdoch Children's Research Institute, The University of Melbourne and other research organisations.

Dr Katarina Aranđelović BMBS, FANZCA is a specialist anaesthesiologist – trained at the Royal Melbourne, Austin, Western and Northern Hospitals, and now works exclusively in private practice looking after patients undergoing a broad range of operations including gynaecology, urology, general surgery, breast surgery, colorectal and upper GI surgery, plastic surgery, reconstructive surgery and vascular surgery.

Dr Korana Mušicki BMedSci(Hons), MBBS(Hons), FRACS(Vasc) is an experienced Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon providing quality care for arterial and venous disease in public/private settings. Her vascular surgery training, through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons has taken her to major hospitals in Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne and Oxford UK. Dr Korana currently teaches and trains the next generation of doctors/surgeons, and often presents at local and international conferences.

Being a dedicated full-time multicultural broadcaster, our programs reflect not only the diversity of Melbourne's multicultural communities, but also the depth of experiences, perspectives and stories that shape them. With programming created and presented by volunteers from the communities they serve, 3ZZZ ensures authentic representation and community ownership.

3ZZZ was the Winner of Excellence in Ethnic & Multicultural Engagement in 2022, and Excellence in Ethnic & Multicultural Broadcasting in 2017. We are honoured to have the work of our volunteers and our commitment to engaging multicultural Melbourne recognised once again.
