We’ve been busy 🐝

Over the last few months, we’ve had some big changes! I promise only exciting changes but they did cause a little burnout with posting 🥸

However, we are back and excited to share our recent adventures 🤎

ALSO! We got a new camera lens!! Say hello to our F2.8 24-70mm (isn’t she beautiful 🫶) Tonka looking even more handsome with these wider focal lengths.

Woah… 😨 it’s been a minute 👀

But isn’t that the beauty of social media? That taking a break is completely normal and in fact a healthy thing to do?

While we might not of been online recently, it doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy! We’ve had some camera equipment upgrades and little life changes that have made a positive difference to our everyday life.

We’ve been busy bees behind the scenes and can’t wait to share some new adventures coming up (no, we are not getting another dog)

CALLING ALL DOG DADS 👀

We’d love to see your dog dad content!!!

We often hear on Instagram that ‘you need to get in front of the camera more,’ and I feel like a lot of accounts have been doing that lately!

However, a majority of the accounts we follow are run by dog mums, with dog dads staying safely behind the camera 🫣

Post a pic with you and your dog dad and tag us so we can see!!!!

Trust me; it can be daunting and feel awkward! Even at the beginning of this shoot, my partner felt weird, but as time went on, he got more comfortable, and now we have the most heartwarming images to look back on! 💕

You’ll be forever grateful to capture memories like these.

Golden Retrievers are the perfect family dog 💕 - I might be a bit biased but you can’t prove it 🤪

We had the honour of introducing Tonka to my little siblings, and let me tell you… they might have gotten their first dog after our visit 😅 (sorry to my folks for starting that first dog conversation)

After a week of learning how to walk, train, feed and pick up p**p, there was no chance of them not wanting a doggo of their own. I was so proud at how patient and friendly Tonka was! He didn’t care about how rough the kids accidentally were and he had the biggest smile on his face playing fetch with them 🥰

It makes me really excited for when we choose to start a family of our own. I know Tonka will be the perfect big brother and I can’t wait for our future with him 💛

How’s your flash photography? 📸

Not going to lie, ours is in the “testing phase” 🥸 we purchased our flash for wedding photography and while we have loved the outcome, it’s a lot different when your subject is a high-energy golden retriever 😂

Maybe one of our goals for 2024 is to practice flash photography 🤔

We have been loving our V1, seriously amazing for flash photography!!

Scientists have proven that it’s physically impossible to eat in front of a golden retriever without sharing just a nibble. Whether the “chimkin” is even present, goldens will demand and get what they want!

I’m not one to share quotes normally, but I stumbled across one from my childhood that perfectly encapsulates my relationship with Tonka.

I think most people within this community can relate to this line and it’s a fantastic reminder that our dogs guard our hearts fiercely.

Whether it’s a good day or bad, I can always turn to Tonka knowing there is no judgement and only comfort.

Give your pup an extra big hug today, just to remind them how important they truly are. 🫶

Hi New Friends 👋

We thought it would be nice to introduce ourselves to everyone new here that has stumbled across our account over the last few weeks 💕

We are Georgie & James, a couple in their 20s who are blessed to have 2 Golden Retrievers (one part time, we will explain in a moment) and 1 mystery cat who might be part possum.

Tonka is our adorable 2 year old boy who is the definition of a soul dog 💕 he is our whole entire world and I don’t know what life was like before him.

Our other part time dog is Captain, Tonka’s biological dad and lives with us sometimes 🥹 he’s not our dog but we pretend he is 😂

Finally we have Murphy who we found in a drain pipe a little over a year ago. We don’t know much about his history but we are convinced someone in his family tree got with a possum at some point in time 😝

We all were living on the Gold Coast, Australia but now we call Melbourne, Australia home 💛

My parents are part time photographers who love sharing my journey with all our wonderful friends. We have a passion for beach excursions and dog friendly adventures ☀️ because if our dog can’t come, we can’t come!
