July is Disability Pride Month, a time to recognise the strength, resilience, and self-acceptance of people with disability.

We work alongside people who are blind or have low vision to advocate for equal access, inclusion, and participation in all areas of life around Australia, from public transport to cafés, restaurants, rideshares, and public spaces.

When advocating on issues impacting people with disability, remember:
1️⃣ It's always best to co-design campaigns with people with lived experience.
2️⃣ Championing people with disabilities' stories is a great way to spread the word but be mindful and sensitive to the fact that this isn't a story - it's someone's life, and commentary on it can have lasting impacts.
3️⃣ Go for “dynamic” advocacy solutions that will bring lasting change and not just fix one problem, one time.
