I’m grateful for the moments I chose silence over reaction, and patience over rushing.

What’s one moment of stillness you’re grateful for this week?

It's easy to admire the ones who hold everything together. The steady ones. The reliable ones. The ones everyone leans on.

I learned young what that can cost. My dad was one of those steady ones — and he looked after himself last. Losing him taught me something I've carried ever since: the strongest thing a person can do is let themselves be looked after too.

So now I notice the other way. I see it in my husband, who gives so much to our family and still makes space for himself. Through movement, joy, rest, time that's his. He's shown our sons that caring for yourself isn't separate from strength. It's part of it.

And our boys are growing up believing it. That feelings are allowed. That rest isn’t something you earn — it’s something you need. That looking after yourself isn't weakness, it's how you stay present for the people who love you.

Three generations. One hard lesson. A different way being built.

This is what stronger can look like. 🧡

You're not bad at focusing.
You've just been calling distraction by the wrong name.
Every time you switch tasks your brain has to stop, refocus and start again. It's not doing two things at once. It's doing one thing badly, twice.
The person who seems calm and focused isn't doing more.
They're doing one thing at a time.

When did you last give one thing your full attention and what happened when you did?

Ever worked late, skipped lunch, given everything then talked about how hard it was instead of what got done?

Same work. Completely different message.
One gets a nod. The other moves things forward.

Swipe to see the difference. ➡️

Brené Brown calls it vulnerability. I call it being me. I don’t edit myself down. I live as myself at work, in relationships, in the easy moments and the hard ones.

Some days it takes everything I’ve got. Most days it’s the only thing that feels real.

When did you last hold nothing back?

An old building gets a new life when it's seen in a different light.
So do you, when you change the words, you use to describe your world.

My son’s uni handed out Exam Survival Kits today and when I saw what was inside, I couldn’t keep it to myself 🥹

Water, Hydralyte, earplugs, face wipes, paracetamol, jelly beans AND a bamboo toothbrush… someone really sat down and thought “what do students actually need right now?” to get them through exam season.

Not just words. A little brown bag that says “we see you.” 💙

And to every student out there, trust yourself. 💪

Thank you to the unis doing this! 🙌

The signs were never missing. We were busy.

Our minds are constantly picking up signals, in our gut, our patterns, our recurring thoughts. We notice more than we realise. The gap isn’t awareness. It’s attention.

The more you slow down and listen to what keeps showing up, the more you’ll trust what you already know.

Some of the greatest leaders in my life never sat in a boardroom. They just never stopped showing up for the people around them.
