Most online marketing gurus tell you to invent one ideal customer avatar for all of your content and products. Still, quite frankly, it's impossible to capture all the problems you solve in one marketing persona, and the ideal customer avatar you create ends up being vague and wishy-washy to accommodate everything in your course or program.

In this episode of the Creative Spark podcast, I take a look at customer personas and why I think you need more than one. If fact, if you're planning to launch a digital course, I think you probably need nine.

I'm super excited to be back with the third season of the Creative Spark Podcast.

In this first episode, I interview one of my ex-design students, Emma Kate, about her journey from designer to web design coach and the Designer Boss Summit, which she co-founded with Anna Dower.

Speaking of the Designer Boss Summit, it's on this week, April 20–22.

I'm looking forward to seeing the queen of VIP days Sarah Masci talk about how to add one to your business, Jacob Cass talking about how to run a brand strategy workshop and Foxtrot Branding talking about time-saving templates. You know I'm a sucker for time-saving templates!

It's easy to get overwhelmed when you think about repurposing content because the poster boy for being everywhere all the time is Gary Vaynerchuk, and he has a team of elves.

I see many content creators limiting the amount of content they produce because without a team behind you, re-purposing that many pieces of content every week just feels impossible.

But you know what they say?

Work smarter not harder.

A goal-driven content strategy and a smart content re-purposing strategy means that you can get the three main content types working together. The solution is to learn the difference between the three main content types.

Listen to episode 43 of the Creative Spark podcast to learn how to tell the difference between the three main content types: core, pillar, and micro www.dominiquefalla.com/blog/episode43

If you have a team of elves like Gary Vaynerchuk, then you can get them to repurpose your content, otherwise, you need to develop a smart system to make it as easy as possible.

In this week's podcast, I talk about ways to develop a content repurposing strategy.

You might be avoiding building your first sales funnels because they sound complicated or confusing.

Suppose you have an all-in-one online solution, such as Kajabi. It gets infinitely more manageable, but even if you use a combination of WordPress or Squarespace and MailChimp, it becomes so much easier to rinse and repeat once you have set up your first funnel.

Avoiding setting up your first sales funnel because of the tech overwhelm is simply a creative block to avoid selling.

Decide you’re going to build one and push through the tech. The solution is to build and launch your first Non-sleazy Sales Funnel.

There's nothing worse than being pressured into choosing a niche and ignoring the rest of your passions, because, no matter what you choose, you will eventually be distracted by something new and exciting.

This pressure is why so many creative businesses stall or pivot. Unfortunately, by choosing a single niche, you run the risk of losing your passion. The solution is to create your own niche.

Listen to episode 39 of the Creative Spark podcast to learn how you can create your own niche by combining your skills, passions, and experiences.

This week on the podcast, we look at why creatives like you should stop trying to conform to an existing niche and create your own niche instead.

Here are the steps:

1. List your skills
2. List your experiences
3. List your interests
4. Create multiple overlap diagrams
5. Choose one and create a niche statement
6. Try out your niche for a week
7. Start sprinkling your special sauce everywhere
8. Add your special sauce to your social bios
9. Refine it with feedback.

Many creatives spend a lot of time and energy trying to find the perfect niche. But, unfortunately, this usually leads to paralysis analysis.

The inability to choose one means that most creative entrepreneurs stop and start their business ideas because they're not sure they are going in the right direction.

If you're like me, I've wasted a lot of energy and time changing and pivoting my niche because the one I chose didn't fit comfortably.

Unfortunately, the experts don't tell us that there are two methods you can use to select your niche, the subset method and the overlap method. So, if this sounds like you, stay with me because, in this week's episode of the Creative Spark podcast, I share with you which method works best for multi-passionate creatives and how you can stop trying to choose a niche and create your own niche instead.
