But this is a completely natural phenomenon.
Rainbows form when sunlight enters raindrops, bends, reflects inside them, and exits at just the right angle. When conditions are perfect, a second rainbow can appear outside the first, created by an additional internal reflection inside the droplets.
The secret behind scenes like this is timing.
The storm has to be moving away while the setting Sun breaks through behind the observer. Dark rain clouds ahead make the colors appear even more intense, while calm water below reflects the light and amplifies the effect.
For a few minutes, the atmosphere turns into a giant prism stretching across the sky.
No filters. No special effects.
Just sunlight, water, and physics putting on one of nature's most spectacular shows.
