FUNDRAISING PRIZE// The Bespoke Linen Co. bedcover - read below for details.
Hi everyone , we are hoping to raise money to help pay for medical expenses for a 5yr old Doberman named “Tupac” ( lol I know )
Currently we are emergency housing this beautiful boy whose story is heartbreaking. We picked him up from Brisbane airport as he was going to be stranded there due to unforeseen circumstances. The story is lengthy and this is the short version.
He was originally surrendered to Darwin pound as part of a deceased estate after his kind owner passed away. He was then rehomed where they mistreated him terribly. They beat him so badly, 6wks on and he is still in terrible pain. We think by his injuries they have violently kicked him in the ribs, shoulder and chest ( I went to move him when lying onto my lap and he yelped in horrific pain ) his back leg has thick scarring the size of my palm , this could be from their belting or he was also attacked by their dog, we’re not exactly sure. What we do know is his leg is bent inwards and although he can walk and run, after a very short time he is limping in obvious pain and is very guarded. I’ve also just today discovered he has an infected abscess in his a**s that is now severely swollen. I’ve arranged for an appointment at the Murwillumbah veterinary clinic tomorrow morning to find out the extent of his injuries but at the very least he will need chest and leg X-rays and any required medication which is what this target is currently set to cover. He also has some other issues with gut and his eyes have conjunctivitis which we have been managing already.
Instead of asking for outright donations I am going to give away one of my custom made European double stonewashed bedcovers as seen in Belle magazine valued at $580. All donations over $30 will go into the draw to win. So, not only are you helping this poor fella you also may come away with an incredible linen bedcover for your kindness. This is only available to Australian residents unless overseas and you would be willing to pay for shipping. Anonymous donations unfortunately won’t be entered into the draw as I won’t have a way of contacting you.
This boy is the sweetest and most well trained Doberman. He shows so much gratitude for any kindness he receives.
We have set up a profile for him with Murwillumbah Veterinary Clinic on Queen st in Murwillumbah. If you’d prefer to directly donate to the vets you may call and they have said they can take credit card payments over the phone. ( Unfortunately this won’t give you entry into the draw as they don’t have time for the extra office work to record people’s information for me which is understandable as they are very busy ) I will give updates on his situation via stories on my insta page .bespoke.linen.co
