Toolona Creek Circuit in full flow 🌧️🌿

Post rain conditions brought this track to life with a dozen waterfalls pumping and the creek running strong the entire way.

18.5km, 504m elevation, completed in under 6 hours.

Expect muddy sections, consistent rain, multiple creek crossings and plenty of leeches along the way 😂

A solid circuit and easily one of the best hikes in the region when the conditions line up like this.

Today’s hike: Mount Greville loop via Waterfall Gorge + Palm Gorge… aka the scenic route (iykyk 😂)

Absolutely. Did we make it harder for ourselves?

Also yes 😂

So many laughs, way too many C-bombs, and my belly is still sore from it all 🤣

Always the best time with Mel and the crew.

Finished it off the only acceptable way… a cold beer and elite hot chips at Boonah Hotel 🍺

Only thing missing?

A couple of Golden Gaytimes… but David’s promised me next time 😂

I served in the Australian Army as an infantry paratrooper from 1994 to 1998. It feels like a lifetime ago… but on days like today, it’s like no time has passed at all.

The memories, the mateship, the moments that shaped me… they don’t fade. They stay with you.

Today isn’t just about history. It’s about honouring those who served, those we lost, and those who still carry it with them.

⏳ Two years ago at Bare Rock ⛰️ struggling but still summiting Mt Cordeaux ⛰️ Back then it was heavy 😏 now I see how far I’ve come 🧘🏼‍♂️ Every step taught me 🌿 every view reminded me to breathe 🌅
