PORT Douglas locals Sandra and Graeme Pimlott have recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. The couple originally started holidaying in Port 25 years ago and decided to make the Douglas Shire their home, full time, in 2021.

VOICES OF PORT DOUGLAS & SHIRE, ‘A Piece of History Volume 1’ written by local author Cherylene Brooke-Turner, is hot off the press after 21 years in the making.
The Book celebrates the 20th anniversary of her Affirmations Project, a unique initiative that has captured the energy, imagination and heart of a community unlike any other.
After a 1000 copies have just been printed, Cherylene will join Gazza this Friday at 8.40am to explain more about her work.
