After finding the big piece of gold, I just had to go back the next day. Good thing I did! 💛⛏️
A sweet signal stopped me in my tracks, and after a careful dig, this beautiful gold specimen saw the light of day for the first time in who knows how many years. Discoveries like this are what keep us coming back to the Western Australian Goldfields.

While detecting for gold, I came across some fascinating signs that the old-timers had once camped in this area many years ago. ⛏️💛
The remains of axe-cut timbers are often a great clue that early prospectors worked nearby. These old signs can indicate a forgotten camp, dryblower site, or even a mine hidden somewhere in the surrounding bush.
Finding pieces of history like this is all part of the adventure, and they can often lead you to some fantastic ground to detect for gold. You never know what might be waiting beneath the surface!

Just up the slope from my last big piece of gold, I hit another promising target. ⛏️💛
Moments like these are why we keep chasing the dream. The gold is amazing, but the memories made out here in the Western Australian Goldfields will stay with me for a lifetime. To stay up-to-date with my adventures

I nearly walked away from this target...
Buried in solid ironstone, it took some serious effort to break it free. After chipping away at the rock, I finally uncovered the reason for that signal — GOLD! 💛⛏️
That's why every target deserves a dig.

After searching for a month in the Western Australia Goldfields, persistence finally paid off! ⛏️💛
