One of my favourite things about living in Cairns is just how close we are to so many stunning tropical islands. Each one has its own personality and something that makes it special, so no two visits ever feel the same!

Here are four islands you absolutely MUST visit while you’re here:
- Fitzroy Island
- Michaelmas Cay
- Green Island
- Frankland Islands

Hot tip: If you’re heading up to Port Douglas, make sure you also add Low Isles and Mackay Cay to your list too 😍

Paradise is closer than you think..

Can you believe this stunning place is only 45 minutes from Cairns? 🐠

After a short ferry ride, you’ll be strolling along palm lined coral beaches, looking out over the most beautiful turquoise water, swimming above fringing reef just off the shore & snorkelling alongside turtles!

Tip for your visit: Head to the far end of Welcome Bay for the best snorkelling spot around the boulders.

It’s a bit of Hawaii without ever leaving Queensland β˜€οΈ
