Greg Reid passed away on the 5th June peacefully in Perth, surrounded by his loved ones.

A celebration of life will be held for Greg at the Red Beret Hotel in Cairns at 1pm on Saturday, the 11th of October, in the Madisons Room.

Greg was part of the original team that helped launch Black Star Radio. Known for his years on the breakfast show, and for his talk show, Talk Black, Greg was respected not just for his voice—but for his compassion, humour, and deep care for community.

All are welcome to come along and pay their respects.

As you get older, you are at higher risk of developing bowel cancer.

The Australian Government has lowered the eligible screening age for the
National Bowel Cancer Screening Program from 50 to 45.

People aged 50-74 will still automatically be sent a free home test kit every
two years, and now people aged 45 to 49 can opt into the Program by
requesting their first free bowel cancer screening kit.
