Speech Pathology Week: 25 – 31 August
Communication comes in many forms—whether spoken, signed, digital, or written. It serves as a bridge that connects us, fosters understanding, and builds relationships. It’s about making connections and expressing ourselves in meaningful and unique ways.
In Australia, approximately 1.2 million people have communication support needs. During Speech Pathology Week, we celebrate the invaluable work of Speech Pathologists (often known as SLPs or Speechies). These professionals empower individuals to communicate effectively working alongside families, schools and support services to ensure individuals with communication difficulties can fully access and engage with all aspects of society.
Thank you to all the speech language pathologists who are making a huge difference in the lives of so many ❤️
