Had to share this… because it’s a masterclass in what NOT to do with email marketing
I woke up to SEVEN emails from the same company.
All “nurture” emails…
All sent at 1:44am…
All within one minute of each other.
This is what happens when someone sets up automation with no thought behind it.
If your emails are meant to build trust, don’t hit people with the whole nurture sequence at once — and definitely not in the middle of the night.
A few super simple things would’ve fixed this:
• Don’t put people in multiple flows at the same time
• Set proper entry/exit conditions
• Use time-zone sending
• Don’t blast your entire journey in 60 seconds
Automation is great…
But only if you actually design the experience for the person receiving it.
Otherwise, it ends up like this screenshot — chaotic, spammy, and a quick way to lose people.
