BREAKING NEWS: ANU Backtracks on Controversial Semester 2 Final Timetable Release Date
Reporting by Anushka Vineet

On 19 May, Observer reported the Final Timetable release for Semester 2 would be delayed to Monday 13 July at 11am, the same day and time as allocations opened. Following student outrage, the ANU has backtracked on this decision.

ANU stated on the Timetabling website they have made this decision after ā€œthe valuable feedback colleagues and students have provided in relation to the delay of the Final Timetable Releaseā€, and that they ā€œunderstand [the] concerns raisedā€.

Observer can report that the Semester 2 Final Timetable Release will now be 10am Friday 10 July 2026. This will allow the timetable to be available on MyTimetable Web Publisher 2026 for three days before subject allocation at 11am Monday 13 July.
