we do really look forward to when we can live in a house with a yard, we know winnie will love having that extra space. but at the moment, while it’s needed, he is doing just fine in our little apartment!

we sometimes get asked what we mean by consent-based care, so i wanted to share a bit about it 🤍

it’s pretty simple to start incorporating if you haven’t already. choice and consent can be built into a dog’s everyday life in really small ways :)

we started with things like letting winnie choose between two treats, or two toys to play with. small things like this helped him build understanding that he could make autonomous choices!

walking down a mildly busy urban street might be normal for a lot of pups, but it’s HUGE for this guy (especially considering how well he handled it)
