Pretty close to finishing up this one. N690 blade from .knives that I worked on at his place half a lifetime ago (it seems that way). Ringed Gidgee scales with black G10 liners. Mosaic pins to tart it up somewhat.

This is the knife I finished on the weekend. Beautiful W2 steel with X's Hamon. Rich, dark chocolate coloured ringed Gidgee handle with faux bone spacer.

Blade is 220x38mm. Convex geometry. Sits on the "heavier" side but is likely suited to a larger user - the rounded oval handle is approximately 145mm.

Just finished up an awesome weekend of knife making. I ran a one on one performance chef knife class, this one with W2 steel so we could produce a hamon. I find it absolutely satisfying when the student makes something as stunning as they did today.
