From the cost of living crisis, record rents, skyrocketing energy bills, and grocery prices that keep climbing, to politicians giving themselves pay rises and lifetime pensions while telling everyone else to tighten their belts… it’s starting to feel like two very different realities in this country.

With the cost of living crisis still crushing families, skyrocketing rents, energy bills through the roof, and groceries getting more expensive every week — a lot of people are furious about how their hard-earned tax money is being spent.

Should politicians like Anthony Albanese get the same pension as ordinary Aussies when they retire?
Right now, politicians enjoy very generous, taxpayer-funded pensions for life after leaving office — often worth hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. Meanwhile, regular Australians have to rely on the Age Pension, which is much lower and means-tested.
With the cost of living crisis still hitting hard, many people are furious that politicians get a golden retirement while everyday Aussies struggle to survive on the pension.
