Vesna Cvjeticanin arrived in Australia in 1990 with her husband, young family, and not a word of English. Vesna went on to build herself a successful Public Service career before retiring in her 50's. Now she operates two businesses part time. One is a meditation business, and the other provides language translation services. Listen to be inspired by Vesna's resilience and enthusiasm as a migrapreneur in Australia.

Things have been a little quiet here in recent months.. on April 2 my dear 89 year old Mum had a fall and fractured her upper arm.
I spent April on the NSW Central Coast caring from her and working remotely. Then in early May I contracted RSV and had to take the entire month off work.
I’m finally getting back into the swing of things, and catching up on a backlog of work in my day jobs, at my home, in my volunteer roles and here with my passion project of Capital Women.
My Mum is healing, but as you can appreciate, her recovery has been slow and I will be staying with her again in the coming weeks.
I do have several NEW episodes to share with you that went to air in April. At the moment we are replaying episodes 15 to 29, in our Monday timeslot on 2XXfm, from the second half of last year.
I’ll be back recording new episodes in the coming weeks and they will be ready to air from August 18.

When it comes to business - I just don't talk the talk, I walk the walk. Over the last 34 years I have developed, owned and operated six different businesses, in six different industries in the Canberra region.
For the last 2+ years I've worked full time as a Business Advisor, helping hundreds of NSW business owners. I have taught business since 2018 and I've lectured locally at the Canberra Institute of Technology and nationally and internationally with the Academy of Entrepreneurs.
I'm very excited to be working with TAFE NSW to deliver a Pricing workshop for their TAFE NSW - Women in Business program.
